Grant Application Process Our Mission The Mission of the Cedarburg Foundation is to provide support for artistic, cultural, and community service projects that contribute to Cedarburg’s civic vitality. Foundation disbursements will be used as seed money for new efforts, sometimes as matching funds for projects, and occasionally as challenge grants. Ordinarily the Foundation will not extend funds to cover an organization’s routine operating expenses. |

The Foundation supports projects and programs that help to enhance those attributes that make Cedarburg unique. The Foundation considers all types of projects, with an emphasis on those that creatively focus on:

Grant seekers are encouraged to discuss their interests and ideas with members of the Foundation Board, or contact: Vicki Capadona The Foundation does not generally award grants for annual campaigns, debt service, direct support of individuals, lobbying activities and operating budgets. Prior to submitting a complete application, applicants should submit a letter inquiry describing the project for which funding is sought. The letter of inquiry should provide a brief description of the organization seeking support and appropriate contact information. A concise description of the project should be provided including but not limited to the following: description of population served, proposed budget and funding sources, amount raised to date, amount being sought from the Foundation, and timing of the project (including start, completion and funding deadlines). The letter of inquiry should be sent to: The Greater Cedarburg Foundation,
Inc. The Grant Committee reviews letters of inquiry on a quarterly basis and forwards its recommendations to the entire Foundation Board. The review process reflects the mission, priorities, policies and financial position of the Foundation. Applicants may be asked to meet with the Grant Committee and/or the Board to provide further information regarding their application. If a letter of inquiry receives preliminary approval, the applicant will be asked to submit a Detailed Grant Application (DGA) that includes additional information primarily focusing on budget information and project/program timing. Funding over the term of the project is contingent on the applicant continuing to make satisfactory progress and providing periodic accountability. It is further understood that the recipient of funding will acknowledge foundation support in appropriate promotional efforts to be agreed upon in advance of the grant. The Foundation does not discriminate on the basis of race, ancestry, color, age, familial status, handicap, religion, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, lawful source of income, or national origin, or any other discriminatory basis prohibited by state or federal law. To be eligible for unrestricted funding, applicants are expected to adhere to these same standards.
